Cambodia’s King, Queen Mother pay respects to King Bhumibol

Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihamouk on Tuesday paid their respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh.

King Norodom Sihamomi and the queen mother arrived at the embassy on Tuesday morning and were received by Thai ambassador to Phnom Penh Nattawut Pothisaro and officials.

After placing a wreath in front of the portrait of King Bhumibol, the Cambodian king and the queen mother expressed deepest condolences to the Thai people on the passing of the revered monarch. 

King Norodom Sihamoni visited Thailand in June 2006 for celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of King Bhumibol’s accession to the throne. King Bhumibol visited Phnom Penh in 1980.
