Thousands of photos of King available online

Online communities in Thailand are offering free downloads of thousands of images of King Bhumibol that people can keep in remembrance of the beloved monarch.

Facebook users have opened galleries allowing free sharing to show their love for the late King. Some users' galleries have a thousand or more images for download.

Some websites offer to share high-resolution images of the late King that people can print out and frame.

Palaces of the King website has more than 2,000 images from the 60th anniversary celebrations of His Majesty’s accession to the Throne taken from June 8-13, 2006. It says all photos were the courtesy of the Bureau of the Royal Household.  

Another source is Rao Rak Phra Chao Yoo Hua (We love the King) website, which offers free photos in many different categories, including rare images, his activities on different occasions, photos taken by the King, and more.

One user of web board Pantip, Peanutzhou, has gathered together links where people can see images of the late King in four categories - rare images; activities; New Year cards, banknotes and speeches; and photos of the procession of the King’s body from Siriraj Hospital to the Grand Palace on Oct 14.

Facebook user Primrose C. Nichchaya offers over a thousand photos in two galleries of rare images of the late King.

Another Facebook user Supitcha Prakham has over 1,200 photo for public viewing and sharing. 

In addition, people are also sharing other content and explaining they are doing it to pay tribute. For example, Facebook user GAT Community offers for free download all the answers to the General Aptitude Test (GAT) over the past five years.
