Joint centre to ensure law and order around Grand Palace

A joint law and order centre has been set up to coordinate activities around the Grand Palace and ensure maximum convenience for the huge number of mourners arriving to pay respect to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, NCPO spokesman Col Winthai Suwaree said on Thursday.

The centre will hold a daily meeting at 11am. 

Col Winthai said a very big crowd is expected on Oct 28, the first day the public will be allowed to pay respects to the late King inside the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall of the Grand Palace. The joint centre will make all the necessary preparations.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, chief of the National Council for Peace and Order, wants everything to run perfectly, he added.
