Thailand Post is giving away free commemorative postcards affixed with a stamp bearing the image of His Majesty the late King.
Samorn Terdthampiboon, president of Thailand Post, said the design of the postcard is 90% complete.
The one-baht stamp carries the image of His Majesty the late King in a full air force commander uniform. The stamp comes with a seal dated Oct 13, 2016, the day His Majesty passed away. In total, 9,999,999 such stamps will be produced, according to Ms Samorn.
She said people can request the postcards by registering online with Thailand Post or contacting local post offices.
If more people are interested in getting hold of the postcards and the stamps than there are supplies for them, they will be distributed at random to ensure everyone has a fair chance.
Ms Samorn said Thailand Post will see to it that enough postcards and stamps are distributed to people in Bangkok and upcountry.
Thailand Post has also put on sale commemorative stamps featuring His Majesty.
