16 Chinese tourists slightly hurt in Koh Samui bus accident

A bus with 28 Chinese tourists on board overturned as it was taking a curve on Koh Samui on Sunday night, slightly hurting 10 of the visitors.

The driver of the bus belonging to Sunshine Holiday Tour Co lost control as the vehicle negotiated a curve in tambon Bo Phut in Koh Samui district in Surat Thani, a rescue agency in Surat Thani reported.

The accident slightly hurt 16 tourists, while the driver and guide were safe, they added.

Twelve of the injured tourists were sent to Bangkok Hospital Samui and four others were taken to Thai International Hospital Samui.

Bo Phut police are investigating the cause of the accident.
