Man falls to death at mall car park

A 41-year-old man fell to his death from the car park at the Imperial World shopping centre in Bangkok early Saturday morning.

The body of the man was found lying on the ground at the complex in Lat Phrao district at around 5.15am, Thai media reported.

The man, wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and jeans, sustained a fractured skull and head injuries, said police from the Chokechai station.

A wallet containing some cash, a mobile phone and a farewell letter with the phone number of the man’s sister were found on his body.

A security guard at the shopping mall said he found a white Toyota Vigo with a Bangkok licence plate parked on the ninth floor of the car park building late Friday night. The vehicle was later found to belong to the man.

The guard said he found the body of the man on the ground floor behind the car park building early Saturday morning while patrolling the area.

Police sent the body to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Police General Hospital for an autopsy and were preparing to contact his relatives.
