PHETCHABURI -- Twelve South Korean tourists and two Thai guides received minor injuries when the air-conditioned bus they were travelling in overturned at a curve on rain-slicked Phetkasem Highway on Friday morning, police said.

Pol Capt Akkamet Singsang, a Muang district police investigator, said the accident occurred about 3.40am on the southbound side of  Phetkasem Highway near Ban Khong Hua Saphan in Muang district.

The bus was carrying South Korean tourists from Bangkok to Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

It ran off the slippery road at a curve, hit a power pole and overturned.

The 12 South Koreans and two Thai guides on board sustained minor injuries.  They were admitted to Muang Phet Hospital and Phra Chomklao Hospital.
