Special holiday train trips to Pa Sak Jolasid Dam

The State Railway is offering special train trips on weekends from Bangkok to the Pa Sak Jolasid Dam in Lop Buri and back, from this Saturday until Jan 29.

The round-trip is being promoted to encourage holidaymakers to visit the dam in Lop Buri, built under an initiative of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. 

The trips will run on Jan 14,15, 21, 22, 28 and 29, the SRT’s public relations office announced on Facebook.

The train will leave Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong station at 7.10am on those days and is scheduled to arrive at Pa Sak Jolasid Dam station at 11.32am.

The train will stop for passengers at Samsen, Bang Sue, Bang Khen, Laksi, Don Muang, Rangsit, Ayutthaya, Saraburi, Kaeng Khoi, Kaeng Sua Ten, and Rodfai Loynam “floating railway’’ viewpoint at Khok Salung station.

The return trip will leave the dam at 3pm and is scheduled to arrive at Hua Lamphong station at 6pm.

The cost is 270 baht per person for a round-trip ticket. Seat numbers will be allocated.

Tickets are available at all railway stations or bookings can be made via the SRT’s Call Center 1690.
