Seven soldiers were injured after an explosion in their pickup truck returning from a field training to the camp in Watthana Nakhon district, Sa Kaeo province.
The explosion was heard when the vehicle carrying an unknown number of soldiers of the Surasinghanart Camp and flamethrowers was on the way back to their base in Aranyaprathet district from a training at another army camp in neighbouring Watthana Nakhon district, it was reported.
Four injured soldiers were sent to Aranyaprathet Hospital and three to Watthana Nakhon Hospital.
The cause of the explosion is unknown.
Witnesses who filmed a video clip heard the sound of the possible ammunition explosion at the scene.
