The Thai Airways International Plc board yesterday appointed Usanee Sangsingkeo, its executive vice-president, aviation business unit, as acting president.
The appointment will be effective on Friday.
Following the end of Charamporn Jotikasthira's term as president, the company's recruitment process has been launched as it mulls over a total of nine candidates interested in the post.
As the company undergoes its financial rehabilitation plan, THAI's board of directors deemed it necessary to appoint an acting president during the ongoing selection process, the company said.
