Eighteen people were injured when an intercity bus overturned in Phetchabun’s Nam Nao district early on Monday morning.
The accident occurred on Highway 12 between Ban Huai Sanam Sai and Nam Nao National Park about 5.40 am when the Khon Kaen - Chiang Rai bus with licence plate No. 637-11 was travelling along a mountainous road.
Emergency rescuers rushed the injured passengers to two hospitals, with 15 taken to Namnao Hospital and the rest to Chumphae Hospital. No one was killed.
According to a preliminary probe, the bus careened off the road and flipped on its side while negotiating a bend.
