TAK -- Water levels in the Moei River between Mae Sot, Phop Phra, Mae Ramat, Tha Song Yang and Umphang districts are rising quickly as a result of heavy rain along the Thai-Myanmar border, according to media reports.

The river has overflowed its banks to inundate many areas in Phop Phra, Mae Sot, Mae Ramat and Tha Song Yang districts.

In Phop Phra district, both farmland and residential areas have been flooded.

On the Myanmar side of the river, several entertainment venues and casinos in Myawaddy have been hit by flooding.
