A 46-year-old security guard was killed when his motorcycle skidded off the Don Muang tollway in Chatuchak district and he fell several metres to the ground on Sunday evening.
Police said Sen Namkaew was riding the motorcycle near an exit ramp to Ngam Wong Wan Road during slight rain at about 6.30pm when he hit a traffic barrier and went over the side. His body was found on the ground several metres below at the busy Bang Khen intersection on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.
Police found Sen’s motorcycle on the tollway and a one-metre-long crash mark on the traffic barrier.
Police are checking how the man had entered and ridden his motorcycle on the tollway, which is only open to vehicles of four wheels or more. They are also concerned about how the fatal accident could have occurred.
