Toll fees on motorways No.7 and No.9 from Bangkok will be waived during the New Year period, deputy government spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd said after the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Motorway No 7 is the route to the east from Bangkok to Chon Buri and Pattaya, and No 9 is the outer ring road Bang Pa In - Bang Phli.
The toll waiver will run from 4pm Dec 26 to Jan 4, 2015. This is longer than other years, as a gift to the people, he said.
