Doctor: King's condition improving

His Majesty the King’s general condition is improving steadily and he no longer has a fever nor is experiencing abdominal pain, the Royal Household Bureau said Monday night.

In its twelfth statement on His Majesty's health, the bureau said the King's heartbeat, breathing and blood-test results were normal. An ultrasound examination of his abdomen found no inflammation of any organs.

The medical team has recently stopped prescribing antibiotics to His Majesty. The doctors who performed the physical on the King in the afternoon concluded that His Majesty's general conditions have improved with better eating and sleep, as well as him regaining strength, the bureau said.

His Majesty the King underwent surgery and had his gallbladder removed at Siriraj Hospital on Oct 5. On Nov 4, the King experienced a recurrence of inflammation of the diverticulum of the large intestine and received antibiotics for almost three weeks before his condition began improving steadily.
