Army to show off military might to kids

The army will move various kinds of weapons and military equipment from bases in Bangkok, Ratchaburi, Prachin Buri, Saraburi and Lop Buri provinces to the 2nd Cavalry Division headquarters at Sanam Pao for a Children's Day exhibition on Saturday.

Col Sirichan Ngathong, the army's deputy spokeswoman, said a number of helicopters will be moved from Lop Buri to the 2nd Cavalry Division headquarters under the jurisdiction of the 1st Army on Thursday.

Other armaments including armoured cars, tanks, artillery pieces, Humvees, various types of tanks and rescue vehicles will be moved between 7pm-11pm from various camps to the exhibition ground.

From Ratchaburi, the military equipment will be moved along Phetkasem, Pin Klao-Nakhon Chaisi and Ratchawithi roads, as well as the Krungthon Bridge.

From Prachin Buri,weaponry and  equipment will be moved along Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok, Vibhavadi Rangsit and Phahon Yothin roads.

In Bangkok, Thahan, Pradiphat, Phahon Yothin, Chaeng Watthana and Vibhavadi Rangsit roads will be used.
