Cops arrest two more KMITL scam suspects

Two more suspects allegedly involved in a scheme to siphon 1.6 billion baht from the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) were arrested on Tuesday in Nonthaburi.

Pol Col Jiraphop Phuridech, acting superintendent of the Crime Suppression Division Sub-Division 1, said Sombat Sopradit and her daughter Chanchira Sopradit were apprehended by CSD police at their home near the Big C shopping mall on Chaeng Wattana Road. 

Pol Col Jiraphop said the Criminal Court had earlier issued warrants for the pair. They take the total number of arrests so far to eight.

After Ms Sombat and Ms Chanchira were arrested, CSD police took them for further questioning at the CSD headquarters on Phahon Yothin Road.
