A billboard power transformer exploded in front of the Paragon shopping centre last night, prompting the evacuation of shoppers and road closures. No injuries were reported.
Two explosions were heard about 8pm near the footbridge connecting the Paragon shopping centre and the Siam BTS station. Smoke spread from the area causing panic among passers-by.
Authorities halted traffic.
