TAT said this week that all newlyweds, honeymooners and "loving partners" who register at desks located in Suvarnabhumi and Phuket international airports can then use the airports' "premium lane" to take a fast track through often long immigration lines.

Couples also will be eligible for gifts and other privileges, and will be entered into a prize drawing for a chance to win hotel accommodations, spa treatments, and dining vouchers.

TAT calls its February promotion "Romantic Thailand".

At Suvarnabhumi, registration counters are located at the end of moving walkways in the east concourse, which receives passengers from gates A, B, C and D; and the west concourse, which receives passengers from gates E, F and G.

At Phuket airport, the registration counter in the main passenger hall connected to the aerobridge. Both registration counters will have photo booths

TAT governor Thawatchai Arunyik said the promotion was begun in 2013. He noted that, this year, Thailand has been named the "Sexiest Romance/Honeymoon Destination in Asia" by readers of Recommend magazine in the US.

"This award is another testament to Thailand's wide variety of upscale tourism products and services that suit the needs of newlyweds and loving couples wanting to create an ever-lasting memory of their nuptials," he said.
