The bank said in a statement on Sunday that the Ratchayothin branch, the private banking service and the safe deposit box private room will be closed on Monday due to safety concerns after a blaze on Saturday night at a building at SCB Park Plaza.

Customers can use the closest counter at Bang Khen branch or other offices, it added.

The fire gutted the 10th floor of the building in Zone A and killed one volunteer firefighter.

The fire did not disrupt the bank's overall operations and data system, it said. The personal belongings of clients in the safe deposit boxes were safe, it added.

SCB has set up a contact centre for customers who want to contact the head office at RCP Building at the plaza, the bank said.
