Big meth busts in Phatthalung

Police arrested two men and seized a total of 94,285 methamphetamine pills in three separate actions in Muang district of Phatthalung province on Monday.

In a raid on a rental house in Prachabamrung road in tambon Khuha Sawan of the Phatthalung Municipality, the police arrested Narin Maneephan, 32, a truck driver.

The police searched the house and found 40,000 methamphetamine pills.

In another action, Yukhonthon Uthairat, 24, was arrested in front of Jung Hua School, opposite Phatthalung railway station, while he was handing over 4,000 methamphetamine pills to a police decoy.

In a subsequent search of his house the police found another 50,000 speed pills.

Police also searched the house of Saharat Ratchakijja, 22, in tambon Khuan Maprao of Muang district, and found 285 speed pills.  Saharat was not at home.
