CHON BURI - Workers from the Provincial Electricity Authority swiftly removed a power pole from an awkward position in the middle of a road on Sunday after photos and derogatory comments posted online drew widespread ridicule.
Samnao Boonkaewwan, a PEA official in Chon Buri's Sri Racha district, said the obstructing power pole was relocated to the roadside in the morning.
Mr Samnao said the PEA had to notify people in the area before removing the pole and that the authority decided to relocate it on the weekend to minimise inconvenience to local people and travellers.
