Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered his weekly television programme be moved forward to 5pm from 8.30pm this Friday to allow a live broadcast of the SEA Games football match between Thailand and Laos in Singapore, government deputy spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd said on Thursday.
The game begins at 7pm Thai time on Friday.
"The prime minister wants the people to watch the match and cheer the Thai athletes taking part in the SEA Games in Singapore.
"On May 29, the Thai men's football team will play in a first round match, which we can all watch.
He, therefore, ordered the airtime of the "Returning happiness to the Thai people" television programme to move forward to 5pm," Maj-Gen Sansern said.
