CHIANG MAI - Police are looking for a group of youths who posted online nude pictures of themselves taken around the North.

Pacha Rattanapun, deputy chief of the Provincial Police Region 5, on Wednesday ordered investigators to team with local police to find the youths by checking places security-camera footage around where the photos were taken and tracking who posted the pictures on social media.

The investigation began after public complaints about naked images from Chiang Mai posted on social media that damaged the reputation of the popular tourist city. The pictures were taken in several locations on many occasions, including a kilometre marker and a traffic sign showing the direction to the city.

Pol Maj Gen Pacha called for help from people to immediately contact police, even suggesting they take photos of naked people taking photos of themselves and sending them to authorities.
