It's a dog's life at Chonburi FC

Thai Premier League club Chonburi FC has been warned that dogs are not a part of their hosting of matches.

Thai Premier League Co on Wednesday sent a letter to the football club reminding officials that dogs must not be allowed on to the pitch.

The warning came after a dog ran onto the turf of the Chonburi Municipality Stadium in the middle of the match between the hosts and Buriram United on Aug 19. The uninvited guest was later taken away.

The league organisers did not slap a fine on the team as the dog did not disrupt the game. All of the players maintained their concentration on the ball.

The visitors beat the hosts 3-1 on that day.

Dogs are not strangers to football fans and players.

Sisaket FC was fined 10,000 baht on July 28 for allowing a dog on the field during a match against Nakhon Ratchasima Mazda FC.
