Her Royal Highness Princess (HRH) Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has told her military cadets to continue doing their duty based on national sovereignty and for the people's benefit.

Speaking Tuesday at a ceremony to bid farewell to her and 332 retiring army generals at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy in Nakhon Nayok province, the princess also told her military cadets to remain honourable and ensure national security in order to do good deeds for the country.

HRH Princess Sirindhorn, who will retire today after serving as a teacher and special commander of the academy for 35 years, said she had taught there because she loves to share her knowledge and experience, so she could contribute as much as possible to society and the nation.

"As a Thai citizen, I am proud to take part in developing the wisdom and vision of cadets who are the future of the army and the nation," the Princess said during the ceremony.

HRH Princess Sirindhorn also expressed her gratitude to the military for their good wishes, which she valued, was impressed by and would not forget.

Eleven battalions of cadets, infantry and cavalry soldiers paraded before her during the ceremony, while there was a 12-helicopter flypast.
