Pups dumped on roadside

Six puppies were left on the side of the Bangkok motorway on Sunday afternoon. After a photo of the pups was shared online, a good samaritan went to the rescue.

"To dog lovers, please help look after these pups left on the side of the motorway in Prawet district. They're sleeping in the sun," Twitter user Worawit Junlaphan wrote and posted the photo of the six pups.

After the post was widely shared on social media, Facebook user Kanokwan Khiensuwan posted another photo of the six pups and wrote: "I came to rescue the pups but they're already dead, all of them."

Netizens commented that the pups probably died because they were left in direct sunlight for many hours with no water or food, and believed they were dumped by an "irresponsible" owner.

A Facebook user whose comment received the most likes called on authorities to set up a pet registration scheme to solve the problem of stray dogs and cats nationwide.
