A short power outage was experienced at Suvarnabhumi airport on Friday night but operations were not affected.
A Suvarnabhumi airport official said the blackout lasted nine minutes from 8.11pm to 8.20pm.
The problem did not disrupt operations including air traffic control and other communications at the airport.
A photo tweeted by a user identified as "Thapanee TAT" and sent from the airport at 8.22pm showed some areas were in the dark.
The incident occurred at the peak evening period when many people check in for flights to European destinations. As well, it was the start of a long weekend to mark the birthday of His Majesty the King and travel demand was high.
