After a strong earthquake off Japan's southern Kyushu island on Thursday night, the Thai embassy to Tokyo reported that there is no Thais died or injured from the 6.5-magnitude quake that killed nine people and injured about a thousand.
According to the latest post on the embassy’s official Facebook page, the embassy said it confirmed the information with Japanese government and Thai volunteers on Khushu island.

The embassy recommended Thai tourists on the island who can access to the internet get in touch with the embassy via the Line messaging app using ID Dekthaihotline.
