PATHUM THANI – A section of a canal-side road in Nong Sua district has been closed for emergency repairs after it collapsed late Friday night.
Some houses were also damaged after the 50-metre stretch of pavement along Liab Klong 8 Road in tambon Bueng Cham-or subsided. The resulting crater was nearly three metres deep when Charn Puangphet, chairman of the provincial administration organisation, inspected the site with soldiers and local officials on Saturday.
No injuries were reported.
Mr Charn said a budget would be sought from provincial authorities for the repairs. The affected section of the road has been declared off-limits to all vehicles.
