Warning of dengue fever outbreak

The Public Health Ministry has issued a warning of the need to take precautions against dengue fever, which has claimed 50 lives so far this year.

Pornthep Siriwanarangsan, director-general of the Disease Control Department, said the Bureau of Epidemiology reported that a total of 52,008 people had fallen ill with dengue fever between from Jan 1-Oct 16 this year, and 50 of them died.

Of the total, 20,600 of the patients werein the Central Region, 14,347 in the Northeast, 9,076 in the North, and 7,985 in South.

    It would be nice to get atlease the symptoms on this report. The hot line could be the cool line when the callers have to wait in case many call at once.

    Its not just broke out its been here for alongtime three of my friends caught it in Pattaya and Koh Larn,and if i remember someone high up in the govertment in Pattaya also contracted it around the same time,only a couple of years ago.It must be on the uprise,interesting theyve just made a statement,the hospitals in Pattaya now its been around for awhile.Takecare its the daytime mosquito if im also wright.
