British health officials advise smoking less, inhaling less to kick the habit

For smokers who want to quit but can't go cold turkey, British health officials have advised a different approach: smoke fewer cigarettes or don't inhale as much.

According to new advice designed for health professionals from the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) released Wednesday, smokers should also be encouraged to try nicotine replacement therapy to cut back on cigarettes.
