Red Cross in need of blood

BANGKOK - The Thai Red Cross Society is urgently in needed of blood donations as the supply is running low, it announced on its official website.

About 1,500 units of blood are being donated each day. The amount is far short of the 5,000 units needed by hospitals throughout Thailand, the Thai Red Cross said.
