Finding the right balance

Dr Nithinart Sinthudaecha, director of My DNA, a dermatoglyphics reading centre, said that if a child does not perform well in exams, sometimes the problem might not be with the child, but with the way he is taught.

"Some people prefer visual learning, while some learn better through listening. Some learn by getting hands-on experience. Each person has a different learning style, so ideally, the classroom environment and the exams should cater to these differences," said Dr Nithinart.
