NHS meet left without venue

The National Health Commission Office (NHCO) has expressed anger after a UN conference centre in Bangkok abruptly cancelled a booking it had made to stage its annual convention.

NHCO organising committee member Sirina Pavarolarvidya said the sixth National Health Assembly (NHS) convention would have to be postponed indefinitely after the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) pulled the plug at the last minute.

Citing security concerns, the UNCC informed her team of the cancellation on Monday, just two days before the sixth NHS convention was due to kick off.
