Couple lifted out of anguish with new home and new lives
A disabled Lop Buri man and his wife are the proud owners of the first house completed in a Habitat for Humanity Thailand project to assist people left homeless by this year's disaster
Wichean Lumlha was a very happy man during the week of Dec 12-19. It was a very special time for him and his wife Lamyai Bunlead as they watched their new home being built by Habitat for Humanity Thailand in Mahasorn village in Lop Buri's Ban Mi district after losing their old one to last year's devastating floods.

In early September, a floodgate broke approximately 40km from Mahasorn village, in Bang Chom Sri in Sing Buri's In Buri district, sending floodwaters into Lop Buri. Three districts were hit: Ban Mi, Tha Wung and Muang. Over 50,000 persons were affected by the flooding.
