Hundreds of Thai Muslims demonstrated on Monday in front of Israel's embassy in Bangkok, waving banners, burning the Israeli flag and slingshotting balls of protest statements at the premijses in reaction to Tel Aviv's invasion of Gaza.
About 400 members of the Muslim Group for Peace rallied in front of the embassy, waving banners reading "Destroy Israel," "Stop the Bloodshed," "Free Gaza" and "Where is the UN?"
"In the name of Thais who love justice and peace, we would like to denounce the massacre, which has severely destroyed the dignity of human beings," the protesters said in a statement.
"We call for Israel to stop its brutal actions and return rights, property, honour and dignity to Palestinians."

After reading out a statement condemning Israel's attack on Gaza the protesters used slingshots to shoot rolledup balls of the statement at the Ocean Tower II building in the Asoke area on Ratchadaphisek road, which houses the Israeli embassy on the 25th floor.
The protesters then burned the Israeli flag.
"Thai Muslims must condemn Israel for their attack on Gaza," said Usma Lukyee, a leader of the Muslim Group for Peace. "We want to send our support to our brothers in Palestine."
Police stepped up security at the building after the request from the embassy, according to Pol Maj-Gen Chakthip Chaijinda, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau.
The demonstrators threatened to rally outside the Israeli embassy again today.
Israel has sent ground forces into the Gaza Strip following days of air raids against the Islamist movement Hamas. The death toll had passed 510 early yesterday, many of them Palestinian civilians.
The Foreign Ministry called on Israel to stop the military operations and try to solve the problem through negotiations to prevent further loss of civilian lives and damage to property.
Currently, there are 25,000 Thai workers in Israel, 3,000 of them in Eshkol near the Gaza Strip.
All of them were reported safe yesterday but the Thai embassy and the Thai labour office in Israel have prepared evacuation plans in case the workers need to be moved to safer places, ministry spokesman Tharit Charungvat said.
Anti-Israel protests took place on Monday many countries, including Sweden, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria and Turkey.
