985 swine flu cases

The Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday morning confirmed 86 new A(H1N1) flu infections, bringing the number of swine flu patients to 985.

Minister Witthaya Kaewoaradai said of the total patients, 970 were now back in good health, and only 15 of were being watched at hospitals.  The doctor treating the 57-years-old woman patient who was reportedto be in critical condition now reported that her condition was improving, he said.

Mr Witthaya said lab tests had confirmed only four students at the precadet school in Satthaheep district of Chon Buri have caught the A(H1N1) virus. Their classmates were not  infected with the new flu strain, but were being kept in a special ward under close watch.
