House committee to see Bout

Members of the House committee on foreign affairs will visit Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout at Bangkwang Prison in Nonthaburi on Saturday to ask about his meeting with Democrat MP for Songkhla Sirichok Sopha, Puea Thai list MP Jatuporn Prompan said on Wednesday.

Mr Jatuporn said the committee, chaired by Puea Thai MP Torpong Chaiyasarn, will meet Mr Bout in the prison about 10am, with permission from the Corrections Deparptment,

Mr Sirichok's real intentions in having a meeting with Mr Bout on April 15 were questionable and inappropriate and the Russian's lawyer had probably not told the truth, he said.

    I have an idea:

Why not puting Mr. Bout in one of the so many 5 stars hotels in Bangkok, send him a limo, and gracely/kindly invite him to give a speach at the Parliament. By doing so, there will be no need for the MP's to make such an uncomfortable trips to the prison...with all that traffic jams and heat.

Ah HA! So the errand boy Jatuporn has been sent on a mission by his Montenegrin paymaster, who is sweating at the moment worrying what Bout will have to say.

I love the UDD's selective whining about double-standards; if it was inappropriate for the Dems to meet him, then it is for Jatuporn too DUH!
