Disgruntled DSI staff turn to Facebook

Fertiliser scam inquiry must go on, they write

An internal conflict at the Department of Special Investigation over an alleged pyramid fund scheme is continuing to rock the agency.

The dispute came to light after some DSI investigators posted comments on Facebook criticising DSI chief Tharit Pengdit's decision to throw out the case against the executives of Best 59 Co, the producer of fertiliser under the "red crab" Poodang Kitozan brand.

The DSI had suspected the company was luring its customers into investing in a pool chit fund.

Mr. PM, will you be looking into this issue? Set up a committee and say the matter should be wrapped up within 30 days. Just like DPM Suthep issuing a ultimatum to complete the May incident by a certain time. Things are really lookng ridiculous with Mr. Tharit.

Mr Tharit - superiors should recognize and respect the decision of subordinates, one should behave more like a superior.

Mr Tharit said. "In principle, subordinates must recognize the decisions of their superiors. There's no point in bearing grudges. One should behave more like a grown-up."

WRONG, Mr. Tharit! Your philosophy that “subordinates” follow their leaders decisions is one of the problems of Thailand now. If subordinates know the decision of their superior is the wrong decision, then they have every right NOT to recognize it and disagree with it to bring out the truth. THAT is what it means to “behave more like a grownup”, instead of an obedient child who always does as he’s told.
