NHSO mulls malpractice compromise
COMPENSATION FOR ALL SCHEMES PROPOSED
The National Health Security Office will hold talks to determine the feasibility of a proposal to extend compensation for victims of medical malpractice to include patients under all healthcare schemes.
The federation of doctors proposed the change as an alternative to a contentious draft bill on malpractice compensation.
Under the National Health Security (NHS) law, only 47 million people under the universal healthcare scheme are entitled to malpractice compensation.
