BANGKOK COUNCIL
The results of the Bangkok council elections might have been in for some time but a new contest is heating up over the post of council chairman.
The post is tipped to go to one of three prominent councillors from the Democrat Party, which won the bulk of the district council seats in the Aug 29 elections.
Of 61 seats, the Democrats took 45, the Puea Thai Party 15 and an independent one.
