For the sake of the country, all rival groups must stop politicising the extradition case against alleged arms trafficker Victor Bout.
Sirichoke Sopha, a close aide to PM Abhisit Vejjajiva, has been strongly criticised by the opposition Puea Thai Party after it was revealed he had paid a secret visit to the Russian national in jail.
Puea Thai MP Torpong Chaiyasarn later visited Mr Bout, who reportedly protested that he knew nothing about the US allegations against him. He also urged the warring local parties not to drag him into Thai politics.
