High security for PM, Suthep, Newin

Special branch police have been ordered to step up security for Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, his deputy Suthep Thaugsuban and Newin Chidchob of the Bhumjaithai Party on receiving reports of plots to assassinate important persons with war weapons, Pol Lt-Gen Treetos Ronrithiwichai said on Wednesday.

    What is a few hundred thousand baht to hire a hitman? Remember the "bunk-no bunk incidence"? There were attempts on their lives in the past to justify the beefed-up of security services.
