A criminal investigation has been launched into the release of controversial video footage that the Democrat Party claims is part of a plot to discredit it and the Constitution Court.
National police chief Wichean Potephosree has ordered an inquiry into the release of the footage, which is allegedly tied to a case in which the Democrat Party has been accused of misusing 29 million baht in electoral funds.
The investigation, headed by Pol Gen Ake Angsananont, adviser to the national police office, must be concluded within 30 days.
