Million families face flood havoc

Cabinet budgets B5bn in cash help for victims

The number of families affected by the floods which have wreaked so much havoc across the country looks set to soar from the present 580,000 to over a million, the prime minister says.

The cabinet yesterday set aside 5 billion baht in financial aid to be distributed to flood victims in 29 provinces.
