Floods force evacuations in South

Floods triggered by six days of persistent rain have ravaged Narathiwat, Yala, and Phatthalung, prompting evacuation of more than 200 people in Narathiwat.

A total of 216 residents from Rangae, Waeng and Sungai Kolok districts have been evacuated to safety after floods hit 11 districts of Narathiwat.

The heavy rains caused the Kolok, Bang Nara and Sai Buri rivers to burst their banks, inundating 182 villages and farmland in 49 tambons of the 11 districts.
