Army believes it is winning war

The bloody raid on a military outpost by suspected insurgents in Narathiwat last week has raised questions about how well the military is able to contain separatist violence. Speaking to King-oua Laohong, 4th Army chief Udomchai Thammasarorat insists the military has come a long way in curtailing the unrest.

Udomchai: Still in control

Are you worried the latest spate of violence could provide the insurgents with an excuse to forward the southern security issue for debate at the next meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC)?

prohibit the military from all operations inside Thailand

leave the police to do their job

then arrange free and fair elections so elected democratic governments can manage the country

its the elite/military dictatorship that is causing the problems in the south and allover Thailand
