April 1 pay rise for state enterprise staff

The cabinet has approved a five per cent salary raise for state enterprise employees, effective on April 1, cabinet secretary-general Ampon Kittiampon said on Monday.

    Increase is just vote buying in disguise. How about day workers these guys make over 10 times the day rate and get a raise. Priceless pandering to their support base.

    Maybe the additional 2% increase is based on productivity gain.

    They just don't seem to understand, the people pretty much have decided who they are voting for already. All of these raises are actually going to get some of the fence sitters who realize that it is their tax money going into these raises to vote against them for wasting money.

    Interesting. The same cabinet that keeps insisting that inflation is around 3% approves this rise?!
