After paying a visit to Privy Council president Gen Prem Tinsulanonda to wish him a happy birthday, national police chief Wichean Potephosree talked to Bangkok Post reporters about growing speculation that he could be replaced by his deputy, Pol Gen Priewpan Damapong, the older brother of Khunying Potjaman na Pombejra, the ex-wife of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
How do you feel about the speculation that you will be replaced?

"I have said it before: I have never considered resigning from the position." Not really Chief Winchean. You're a civil servant and therefore you're subject to transfer by the government.
